Renee Tyson is the fourth owner of this charming 1921 cottage at 811 E. Normal. The original built-ins, light fixtures, appliances, and beveled glass verify that this house has been lovingly cared for over the years. One of the oldest Hawthorne Locust trees in the state (verified by the MDNR) provides shade for the back yard.

504 E. Delmar has been a work in progress since David and Melissa Riddle purchased it in December 2003. Built in 1932, this Dutch Colonial has a coastal cottage feel with light colors and nautical décor. This two-story home has a finished basement and sits on a double lot with a private backyard.

627 E. Meadowmere has been home to only three owners since it was built in 1941, with one family having lived there for nearly 50 years. Extensive remodeling was done in 1964 and the cozy home is currently being updated again. When Ann Bayliff purchased the home about a year ago, she unearthed a birdbath with the inscription, “E.O.A. 1941”, from the backyard. If anyone knows anything about this, please tell us.

This 1920s quasi-craftsman built home at 625
E. Delmar is owned by two art majors, who feel that the dark-stained
oak trim, hardwood floors, fireplace and French doors express their own
eclectic tastes. The 1940s brought extensive remodeling, and the elongated
bathtub and pedestal sink now occupy the space that formerly held the
kitchen. On almost any day, you’ll find the Harlow’s family dog,
Ruby, lounging in the peaceful sunroom.

610
E. Delmar has been growing since it was built as a two-bedroom home in
the early 1920s.
The mid 50s brought the addition of another bedroom and family
room; the spa was added in the late 70s.
In 2003, a major interior renovation updated the kitchen, bathroom
and spa.
The room additions were modified at that time to compliment the
bungalow styling of the original structure.
The decorating skills are those of Sean Stewart and Elena Boccardo. for

Ryan
Russell purchased the 1923 home at 616 E. Meadowmere nearly five
years ago and has been remodeling ever since…room by room.
The kitchen, living and dining rooms are completed, but work
continues on the 80+ year old home.
Completely gutting and remodeling the bathroom is Ryan’s latest
project and that, hopefully, will be completed for the home tour.
If not, please watch your step.

951 East Catalpa looked like home to the Burson family when they first saw the arched entryways, hardwood floors and the built-ins throughout the 1949 brick, ranch-style home. Sunlight washes through their 25 new windows and they’ve been enjoying the beauty and close proximity of Phelps Grove Park since they moved in 2002. Brad, Dina, Cameron and Skylar Burson welcome you to their home!
